John Balow - President
Mike J. - General Manager
Mike has over 20 years experience in motorsports, high-performance engines, technical services, and the machine tool industry. Mike’s professional background includes working for companies such as Mercury Racing and Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Company. He also owned and managed one of the top truck pulling teams on the National Tractor Pulling Association pulling circuit. His 6,200 lb. two-wheel-drive pulling truck was powered by a supercharged, alcohol, 526 cubic inch Keith Black hemi that produced over 2500 horsepower. Mike retired from the NTPA in 2005 to concentrate on his career with MCR.
Fred K. - Business Manager - started 2005
Fred graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire in 2002 for B.A. / Management. Fred is a member of the car club Hot Heads and spends his spare time working on his 1973 Camaro that he has had since high school, 1967 Dart, and his 1950 Plymouth.
Joette H. - Controller / Vice President of Financial Operations - started 1995
Jet is responsible for the financial growth and stability of the company. She graduated with honors holding an accounting degree. A car enthusiast herself, she owns a ‘65 Comet, a ‘89 Camaro and a ’89 Riviera. She currently is supporting her husband’s drag racing who owns a ‘66 and a ‘67 Chevy II Nova. Aspiration: 2002 Red WS6 Trans Am, LS1 engine.
Pam N. - Accountant - started 2001
Pam graduated top of her class with an accounting degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College. Her accounting background includes working at such companies as Cargill & University of Minnesota. Into motorcycling since meeting her husband who rides Harley & BMWs. Enjoys reading, dance, and gardening in her free time.
Bob D. - Parts Manager - started 2006
With over 18 years experience as a mechanic, parts manager and service manager, Bob oversees parts, sub contracted vendors, delivery, shipping, receiving and with his CDL is setting up the operations of MCR’s semi truck. Bob has spent much of his spare time as a mechanic in ASA and late model racing.
Chris C. - Metal Lead - started 2001
Chris has been in the automotive field since 1980. I-Car certified. Holds Autobody degree from CVTC. Chris has began the restoration of his 1973 Cuda now that he and his wife have finished the pond and botanical garden setting in their back yard.
Dave G. - Paint Lead - started 2000
Dave has been in the automotive field since 1973. Dave collects and races both motorcycles and snowmobiles. Recently crowned 2 time champion at Eagle River, WI in two different 440 classes. Dave’s vehicle collection consist of: 1978 Honda CBX, Ducati 900, Kawasaki Turbo, 1963 Honda CL72, Ski Doo Blizzard 440, Ski Doo Blizzard 800, and his one lone 4 wheel toy, a 1972 Datsun 240Z.
Lee Z. - Assembly Technician - started 2000
In the automotive field since 1971. Lee and his wife are focused on a constant revolving group of hot rod projects. After selling his 1941 Willy’s, Lee is left with his ’32 Ford and a ’69 Chevy Impala. He is starting up a new project this year, a ’32 Ford Roadster. Lee’s number of personal Hot Rods built in his garage is approaching 40!
Roman K. - Assembly Technician - started 1997
Roman has been in the automotive field since 1976. Roman is NHRA licensed and spends his summers sharing driving time with his wife in their 1970 Nova. After selling their ’70 Superbird, they have lined up a couple future projects: 1974 Vega Wagon and a 1960 Rambler American Super Wagon.
Les L. - Parts Specialist - started 1999
Les graduated from Michigan Tech University in 1977 with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration. Les’ vehicles consist of a 1980 Honda CX500 Custom, 1984 Chevy Z-28 and his new Chrysler 300 Hemi. Les spends his spare time as a crew member for a NHRA Stock & Super Stock Team. Also enjoys collecting HO Scale Slot Cars.
Mike P. - Assembly Technician - started 2006
Mike has been in the automotive field since 1988. He is a huge Jeep enthusiast and classic vehicle collector. His collection currently contains a ’51 M38 Jeep, ’48 CJ2A Jeep, ’37 Ford, M170 Field Ambulance, ’67 Ford Pick Up, ’70 Ford Bronco, and a ’39 Plymouth.
Jason B. - Special Projects - started 2003
When he’s not spending time with his family, Jason enjoys tuning his 1998 supercharged Buick Regal. He also enjoys painting cars, some of his past projects include a ‘67 Dart with a real carbon fiber stripe, and a ‘59 Mercedes. One of these years he will start restoring his ‘69 Camaro. Jason holds a degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Auto Body and is currently working on a second in Business Management.
Andy F. - Assembly Technician - started 2008
Andy has 35 years of automotive experience and is an ASE master technician. Outside of work he enjoys drag racing a 9 second '77 Corvette, boating, and contemplating the restoration of his 66 Dodge Charger.
Jim H. - Assembly Technician / Machinist - started 2006
Jim has been in the automotive field since 1983 and prior to MCR he owned and ran a high performance exhaust shop. Jim’s spare time is spent building a variety of dirt track race cars. 2006, Jim’s son drove one of the cars to finish top ten at two tracks.
Randy B. - Quality Control Lead - started 2006
Randy has been in the automotive industry since 1979. Randy and his wife Monica enjoy spending time together with their classic car collection and at car shows throughout the year. They currently own a 1969 Dodge Daytona, 1970 Plymouth Superbird (original owners), 1970 Roadrunner Convertible, 1969 Dodge Charger 500, and a 1969 ½ Super Bee, 2005 Daytona Dodge Truck.
Trent L. - Metal Technician - started 2005
Trent belongs to the car club Hot Heads, and spends a great deal of his after hours working on cars. His current projects are a 1950 Ford Club Coupe, 1949 Chevy Pick Up truck and a Slingshot Dragster. Graduate from Chippewa Valley Technical College Auto Body & Welding programs.
Chris A. - Body Technician Lead - started 2004
Chris graduated from Hennepin Tech College in 2002 with a degree in Body and Paint. Chris is personally restoring his 1969 GTO.
Sean B. - Body Technician - started 2006
Sean’s busy 2005 saw him get married and graduate from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Body / Paint. He is planning to continue work on a ’65 Oldsmobile project this summer.
Jeremy C. - Photographer / Videographer / I.T. - started 2004
Jeremy lives, eats and breaths computer and is the brains behind MCR's website. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys volunteering time digitally restoring hurricane damaged photographs at OPR and with other graphics communities. An avid computer programmer, he understands a large number of languages and has volunteered his time to better several open source applications.
